HACKENSACK, NJ--(Marketwire - June 5, 2009) - HY'BRED International, Inc. (
HY'BRED International, Inc. has confirmed it has entered into an agreement with Anaheim-based Thoro'Bred, Inc., the world's largest aluminum horseshoe manufacturer, to produce these revolutionary shoes. Thoro'Bred, Inc. will manufacture the shoes in their California facility utilizing HY'BRED's patented procedure.
Additionally, Thoro'Bred has agreed to market HY'BRED's product in their own catalogue and in tandem with their products. This additional market exposure introduces HY'BRED's product to virtually every domestic farrier, tack shop, and supply store in the United States.
HY'BRED International Executives are also looking at the possibilities of additional revenue lines by expanding their designs to different areas of the equestrian world. These additional products will also help with exposure on a global basis due to the popularity of these sports internationally.
HY'BRED's Horseshoe is innovative because of its use of urethane as a shock absorber. This material wears as long as a steel horseshoe, much longer than rubber, and even longer than the aluminum shoe to which it is bound. Gary Kouletas, HY'BRED Horseshoe creator and developer, devised a proprietary method of binding urethane and aluminum. This process was designed so that farriers can place them on the horse using traditional tools and shoeing methods, which is a tremendous advantage over other traditional shoe alternatives on the market.
HY'BRED International, Inc. also had previously announced it would be entering into agreements in the online horse gambling industry with the The Royal Turf Club. After much time, thought, and analysis, The Company feels that this is not a direction that best fits the company's goals as a manufacturer. HY'BRED International feels that the revenue from marketing and developing additional products for assisting in the health and longevity of the life of a horse is more in line with the company's directive.
The HY'BRED Horseshoe has the capability to impact the life of every horse. There are 9 million horses in the United States. The therapeutic shoe market is estimated at approximately $450 million in annual sales, representing less than 15% of the total horseshoe market. The total horseshoe market in the United States is estimated at $3.2 billion a year exclusive of labor and tooling.
