GIT Satellite Group Agrees to Market SatMAX® Equipment for Oceanographic and Naval Satellite Communications Testing

HOUSTON, TX, October 2, 2009 – SatMax® Corp. (Other OTC: SATM), a leading global provider of wireless, non-line-of-sight satellite communications products and services to the $46 billion ground-based satellite communications industry, announced another reseller agreement today. Austin, Texas-based GIT Satellite Communications (http://www.gitsat.com) has agreed to resell SatMAX® advanced satellite communications systems to its Iridium-linked and Inmarsat-linked customers.  GITSAT’s first order, for use in testing equipment aboard a submergable undersea exploration watercraft, has been delivered and paid for. The end user, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute (http://www.whoi.edu), will be using a SatMax ® repeater to aid communications within their systems of moorings and buoys.  The Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute (WHOI), publisher of Oceanus Magazine, is the world's largest private, nonprofit ocean research, engineering and education organization.  WHOI is a private, independent organization in Falmouth, Mass., dedicated to marine research, engineering, and higher education. Established in 1930 on a recommendation from the National Academy of Sciences, its primary mission is to understand the oceans and their interaction with the Earth as a whole, and to communicate a basic understanding of the oceans’ role in the changing global environment.  SatMAX® is an advanced communications system that enables users to quickly and easily make full wireless, satellite voice and data communications available from any non-line-of-sight location.  With a SatMAX® repeater, customers have the ability to access dependable and uninterrupted communication from indoor locations.  Available as both fixed and mobile units, SatMAX® creates a satellite communications "hotspot," allowing maximum flexibility by enabling multiple callers to use Iridium-based satellite phones in both indoor and outdoor setting."Our service provider agreement with GITSAT is a validation that our SatMAX® technology provides value across multiple satellite constellations and earth-based communication platforms,” said SatMax® Technology Director, Ken Carlsen. “We are very pleased at having this opportunity to showcase our products.”
